We had 16 players, 8 two-man teams with three guests playing. Again Steve Adams’s team won big! Steve and LeRoy Addison won LOW GROSS and qualified for the Tournament of Champions (TOC) in October. Don Bryan (just off surgery to put in a stint near his heart) and Don Smith won Low Net barely beating out Speakman and his guest, Mike Lemioux by 6 tenths of a point! To get fair handicaps we combined the total team handicaps then took 40% of the total which is why you see tenths of a point for some teams.
We had four different winners for the Par three’s each winning $10.
First net and First Gross teams won $90 and 2nd Net team won $70.
NEXT TOURNAMENT is Saturday, July 27th first tee time 11:30 on East Course. This is a POINTS tournament, sometimes referred to a a Stableford format. An individual event where each person’s point total is determined by subtracting their handicap from 36. If you are a 12 handicap that day, 36-12=24 points needed to make your points. Players get 8 points for an eagle, 4 points for birdie, 2 points for par, 1 point for bogey and zero points for double bogie. All scores MUST be posted in GHIN.
