CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

This was a hard fought two days with overall higher scores than usual. Only two golfers had any scores in the red! Both of those were shot the first day. Mark McCabe led the Championship flight with a GROSS 71! Larry Williams let the First Flight with a net 70! No player scored under par the second day and overall gross or net! Playing the ball down really made a big difference as the rough was severe in many places.

Mark McCabe was way ahead in the race for Club Champion the first day but Dean Wilson never gave up and fought back to a tie with Mark on the final day. They went to the first tee on the West for a playoff and Dean birdied for the win! Congratulations to Dean Wilson for scoring LOW GROSS by playoff and becoming our Club Champion for 2024 and will be getting his name on the Club Championship Trophy.

Our low net Champion came from the First Flight and it was no surprise, Larry Williams shot a net 70 the first day and was bested by three other players the second day but his big lead from the first day held up and Larry hung on to shoot a two day low of 147, lowest net score for the tournament!

Thanks to all who participated and now let’s get ready for the Tournament of Champions next month. Twenty members have qualified for TOC and will have the chance to compete to have their name on the TOC trophy!
