The regular meeting of the Board of the Bull Creek Men’s Golf Association was called to order at 4:02 PM on January 5, 2023 at the Bull Creek Golf Course by Doug Speakman

I. Approval of Agenda

The agenda for the meeting was distributed and unanimously approved.

 II. Approval of Previous Minutes

The minutes for the previous meeting were reviewed and unanimously approved.

III. Consideration of Open Issues

1. Treasurer Report – Will Allred

-Checking account update $490.13 on hand Checking

-Online payments update

-Membership update 2023: 4 new members plus 7 Board Members

– Motion to accept and seconded, approved unanimously 

2.  Tournament Committee Report – Peter Anderson

– New date for postponed Club Championship, Jan 21-22 Peter to send email notice to members

  • 1st draft for 2023 Tournament schedule was passed out and list of Tournament formats.  There was discussion and suggestions for Peter to review.  It was agreed that Peter would have a Tournament Committee meeting and create a second draft of the tournament schedule and present it to the Board at the next board meeting. 
  • Hole-In-One fund $217.  Will pay $50 to any member getting a hole in one in one of our MGA tournaments.  As fund total increases, we will increase the amount we pay for Hole-in-One. 
  • Motion to accept and seconded, approved unanimously. 

3. Rules Committee report – Dean Wilson

– No changes to rules to report

4. Handicap Committee report – Don McClintock was absent.  There was discussion regarding when GHIN memberships needed to be updated and how long the grace period was.  Review with Jim Arendt, memberships are due at first of each year (January) and run for remainder of year.  You can sign up anytime during the year, cost is same even if you wait until October, you pay same price and expires end of December.
